Founder & CEO at FFmpeg Micro
Javid is a software engineer, author, and entrepreneur with over 25 years of professional software development experience across enterprise, startup, and consulting environments. He founded FFmpeg Micro to make video processing accessible to developers through a simple, automation-first REST API.
What FFmpeg Micro is
FFmpeg Micro is a managed REST API that wraps FFmpeg — the same open-source video processing engine that powers YouTube, Netflix, VLC, and most professional video tooling. The product makes that capability accessible to developers and no-code automation builders without operating a worker pool.
Why I built it
After 25+ years writing software, I kept hitting the same problem: video processing is critical for modern content workflows — ad generation, social media automation, captions, transcoding — but actually running FFmpeg in production means owning a binary, a worker pool, codec licensing, autoscaling, and a security update cadence. For most teams that overhead is misaligned with the value of the feature. FFmpeg Micro removes the operational surface so video transformation becomes a single API call.
