These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and API operated by Octetra, LLC, doing business as ffmpeg-micro ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

You may use our API and website only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You are responsible for the content and files you upload and must not use the Service for any unlawful or infringing purpose.

2. Accounts and API Keys

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Your API key is personal to your account and must not be shared. You are responsible for all activity under your account or API key.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

ffmpeg-micro offers Free and paid subscription plans through Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. File Retention

Uploaded input files are deleted after 3 days, and output files after 7 days. We are not responsible for retaining or recovering deleted data. Please download your processed files promptly.

5. Acceptable Use

  • No illegal, infringing, or harmful content
  • No attempts to bypass rate limits or abuse the API
  • No reverse engineering or reselling the Service
  • No interference with our systems or networks

6. Ownership and Content

You retain ownership of all files and content you process using the Service. We do not claim any rights over your data. By using the Service, you grant us a temporary license to process and store files as needed to provide the Service.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain uptime and reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or modify the Service for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ffmpeg-micro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or use, even if advised of such damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ffmpeg-micro and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated version.
