How TipsyTech Games automated video editing for hundreds of social media videos daily

About TipsyTech Games

TipsyTech Games is a modern beer pong startup based in Germany that sells innovative beer pong cups with embedded QR codes. When players hit a cup during a game, they scan it with the TipsyTech app to unlock interactive challenges, making the classic party game more engaging and social.

The company has reached over 130 million people on social media in just 24 months through organic content, posting multiple videos daily across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.

The Challenge

TipsyTech needed to produce hundreds of social media videos daily to maintain their aggressive content strategy. Each video followed a strict format:

  1. Cup is hit during beer pong game
  2. Player scans cup with TipsyTech app
  3. Challenge is displayed and read aloud
  4. Challenge is completed

The problem: manually editing each video in CapCut took 3-4 minutes per video. With hundreds of videos needed daily across multiple languages and markets, this manual process was unsustainable and expensive.

“We were publishing hundreds of videos each month and editing them manually via CapCut. Each video took quite some minutes to edit, and it was hundreds of hours each month.”

The Solution

TipsyTech built a fully automated workflow using N8N Cloud that processes videos overnight:

The Automation Workflow

1

Airtable Queue

Raw video footage is uploaded and queued in Airtable, organizing videos by language and market

2

Gemini Video Analysis

Google Gemini analyzes each video to detect the exact moment the cup is hit (start point), extracts the challenge transcript from the screen, and generates an engaging POV-style title

3

FFmpeg Micro Editing

FFmpeg Micro receives the video file and Gemini’s analysis data, then performs the automated edit - trimming to the perfect start/end points and applying consistent formatting

4

Automated Distribution

Finished videos are automatically scheduled via Buffer for Instagram (8 videos/day) and YouTube Shorts

The Results

1000s

Videos published per month across platforms

Millions

Views per month across different markets

New Markets

Expanded into new languages and regions

From Hundreds to Thousands

TipsyTech went from publishing hundreds of manually-edited videos per month to thousands of automatically-edited videos — a massive increase in output with zero additional editing headcount.

Millions of Views

The increased volume drives millions of views each month across different markets, directly increasing sales and traffic to their shop.

Dramatically Lower Costs

The automation “decreased by far the cost” of video editing. It doesn’t get sick, it works overnight, and it enabled TipsyTech to scale without scaling their team.

New Markets & Languages

With editing automated, TipsyTech expanded into new markets and languages — something that would have required hiring dedicated editors for each region.

Hear From the Founder

“This not only increased our outputs but also increased the sales and traffic that we’re getting to our shop. It decreased by far the cost that we have with the video editing process. It doesn’t get sick. It works overnight. It’s perfect for business.”
